Article is slightly confusing because CEDAW requires good faith negotiations to resolve the dispute before starting ICJ case. I have read that the earliest the case could be filed is March 2025. If they don't jump through the hoops, case will be thrown out like the Georgia v Russia CERD case.

Interesting . But how does this work ? Is it a “tacit” way of recognizing the government of the Taliban , in a way that it wouldn’t be morally unacceptable? The ICJ is a court for UN member states, represented by recognized governments ?
