Spent all last evening finding and fitting a new Watch glass to this Watch only to break the Winder off. I give up! 🤦🏻
Good morning, today in 2017,the wife found a baby Seal on the Beach. The Marine Rescue people came and collected it.
Large piece of fossilised wood in my Garage, found on the Isle of White last Summer. It’s around 140 million years old and I’m soaking it in freshwater to help remove salts before drying and sealing it to stop it falling apart.
Chatham Dockyard is well worth a visit. My Grandad was a Rigger, my Dad an Apprentice, and my Mum worked in the Drawing Office. I went to the launching of HMS Ocelot and several Navy Days.
Latest eBay purchase. Around 30 years old and fully working, came with another Seiko Watch also working. After selling the other, this cost me £35 but worth around £100. I have a black faced version as well. Another MikesOldTat bargain!
