The sample from the right photo is from Gallup Mills, Vermont. The photo was from a paper that I never managed to get published (mostly because I was too tired to try revising it for a different journal, or to learn how to use pseudosections to make my argument).
Honestly I'm just happy that the lovely pressure-indicating metamorphic mineral made it to the finals. (Sedimentary and igneous rocks are so much more accessible, but I love those weird squishy deep rocks.)
