It's so crazy how much more popular this game could probably be if the entire matchmaking wasn't the complicated, weird mess it is...
I'm kinda motivated to make a video about how the devs should rework the available pvp game modes. I'm not a top level player but I still think I would have some interesting ideas I could share and *apparently* the devs sometimes let themselves get influenced by such stuff so maybe go for it?
I'm not you but maybe it's a mindset thing? Like before you take a break, you're frustrated and make a lot of mistakes cause you can't focus on the game that way, but once you come back, you're going in with a "I expect to lose a lot of games" mindset and are way calmer, being able to focus more?
A lot of stuff they brought back from splat 1 isn't good and could've been much better.
If they feared they'd add tmi to the ui, they could hide the info on the map. They could also display more on the map in general, for example whether the player is still QR eligible.

If I were to ever mod splatoon, I wouldn't even change much. All I would do would be to bring the ability info back from Splat 1. The one in the image. However, I would add a timer for opening gambit and Comeback as well as % based values for tenacity and LDE. This would help soooo much!
