My computer's a 2013 MacBook Pro and has been my *only* computer for the past *ten* years.

OTOH I did have to replace my first battery after leaving it unplugged while I ate dinner. In the next forty minutes, it chewed through 80% of my battery capacity, even though the clamshell was closed, damaging all the cells. So yeah, maybe YouTube dude was right.
