I don't tend to give people my joy without subjecting them to my pain, haha. Goddamn Kybalion actually had this and a specific discourse about pre-Freud analysis of the unconscious that hit me. Otherwise, like, I'm a pantheist, so okay, I get where they're coming from but hahahahha

Specifically, the Kybalion has this passage about polarity where they discuss that someone who feels the most joy in life also feels the most pain in life, and one who feels little pain also feels little joy. Etc. it's not unique to occult/hermetic thought at all
