And while I'm on a roll, who thought it was a great idea to have TVs in a shared room without headphones? She got little sleep last night because of TV noise going on super-late. I hope when her roommate gets home, her neighbours are doing a massive spring clean-up with All The Gardening Machines.

FFS people, when you visit someone in hospital, remember the person sharing the room might be, y'know, sick! No need to shout! Just phoned my stepmum and could hardly hear her for the partying around the next bed.

There was a time when the plot in some British series seemed to be entirely propelled by mealtimes. People sitting down to a full English breakfast with runny eggs and god-knows-what and then *talking*! The horror.
