Thank you for the guidance! Iām on the first flight out in the morning. Iāve never had to care for bird, he & my relative are tightly bonded & I think my relative is very lost bc the bird is behaving so differently (plus since he vehemently hates women, we have always interacted from a distance).
Thanks @empowlr.bsky.social šš»
Thanks! will check them out. This is hard to manage long distance & of course brings up the whole caring for elderly family issues.
Thatās what Iām thinking, that itās dire. The family always argue over who is going to inherit the bird when this elderly relative passes, never considered the bird might go first. Right now a neighbor, who is a hosp pharmacist, is trying to find anyone qualified available & Iām going to call A&M.
Iām so grateful for your time, I think Iāve known what I needed to do since I got the call earlier, appreciate your input in helping me work it out.
Double yellow headed Amazon & itās the oil field, Iāve already got welding gloves lined up from a friend. Doesnāt help that this bird doesnāt like women, never has
Reportedly took a little bit of cracker today, first intake since the fall. This is the part that terrifies me, staying on the bottom, aggressive, not eating or drinking. Iām sure heās hurting
Thatās brilliant, Iād drawn a total blank on A&M, theyāve got everything & perhaps we could arrange a video visit
Thank you, Iāll check flights & get out there & meanwhile read up on how to move an injured bird. I fear since there are so few avian specialists that theyāll not have all options available (if any).
šš»thank you so much!
