That sounds like the same family as OCD. It's very similar, I think. It's just not a nice thing to go through at all 😔. Like a phobia, it's not possible to just 'snap out of'.

She clearly doesn’t know what a ‘ruined life’ actually is. Living with her the puppy probably did, it had a lucky escape.

I've got white coat syndrome, which is a fear of doctors and what they might find. I suppose that's a form of anxiety too.

Yes, it's all defnitiely part of the same family. I always get diagnosed with high blood pressure (which I haven't got) at the docs because I hate it there and it shoots high as soon as I'm there😆

Yes, it's not a straightforward condition. And when you have other illnesses it makes the whole thing spiral downwards.

Ugh, have had several brushes with it and it’s just horrible.

It's so hard to explain what it's like to someone - but for me it's like a black cloud descends. It all fit into place when I read it is part of the OCD family. Made so much sense.
