Has anyone had experience of asking for acknowledgements or dedications to be updated after a book is already out? Eg you made a mistake or missed people etc Obvs can't fix published editions but could fix then going forward

Taking recommendations for agents who enjoy horror and don't mind a bit of second person! (Not for me Obvs, looking for my horror-writing mentee.)

Had a big moment in our building this week where the builders laid the mosaic MrsRJ made for the utility room. Yes, she is astounding.

It's two metres long and INSANELY intricate. The shadow is the grouted/ not grouted halves.
And yes, there are real items set into it.
The dead rat is not real. In case you were wondering.

I asked my daughter what MG book I should write and she said "how about a fairytale? but like, one of those retellings" and now she is no longer welcome in the family home

Man, blurbs are so hard to write. If I were trying to convince a friend to read this book I'd say something like "the characters are demented and the story refuses to spoonfeed you" but this is absolutely not something you could slap on the side of a novel

when I tell people not to eat Mexican food in the UK, this sort of thing is why. brits simply cannot be trusted with this cuisine
