I decided to keep tabs on my book's b&n sales ranking before, during, and after the month of July (which is the month that Book Eaters was a B&N spec fic pick), to get a sense of how impactful that marketing was. TLDR: huge impact on sales! 1/4 (click to see rest of thread)
The b&n sales rank works similar to Amazon's, but specific to their site. If your book has a b&n rank of 10, it's their 10th best selling book (online and print, I believe). My first week of release, the pb ranking was at 60,000~. This shot up to 27 from 1st of July. 2/4
This is how I bought your book. I’d already planned to at some point but I ran into a B&N out of state to buy something for the flight back and it was very prominent and easy to grab lol - congrats!
Thanks for sharing this data! It makes sense that making your book a pick of the month would increase sales, but the scale is much larger than I'd expect. Also congrats!
This is actually how I discovered your book! My husband stopped in at B&N to browse and saw it on a table and knew I would love it. I’m so glad that he did , finding new authors & falling in love with their work is a such a gift 😊
INTERESTING! Thank you for sharing!
