absolutely. the cauliflower actually cooks through (don't steam it too long since that's just a pre-cook), and the roasting time is shorter (more energy-efficient, IMO). Maybe 5-10 minutes roast time before the olive oil and herbs/spices.

This. I've found I'm happiest if I steam it first, then dry roast it a bit before adding your perfect list.
