A station from a DB train isn't really something to get excited over. Marienborn in Lower Saxony is no ordinary station. Pre 1990 it was swarming with Soviet troops & Grenztruppen, being 1st station in the DDR. Plus probably the odd Stasi Narc or two. Today Marienborn is little more than a halt.

After 3 yrs, last night Dresdner SC 1898 returned to their spiritual home at the rebuilt Heinz-Steyer-Stadion. A game of few chances saw visitors FV Laubegast 06 win 1-0. A new build that definitely isn't identikit. However the old stadium oozed old school Ost Zeitgeist and is much missed #dsc1898
