Will share once I get to that point. My problem with Proxmox: it does zilch in host management. Which for me is the main point of wanting a UI. Partition disks, add zpools, add VLANs, manage users and add SSH keys, configure SNMP, LLDP, ... I can deploy, start and stop VMs with Ansible alright 🙂
OK, the onboarding process is horrible. Installation of the hypervisor is straightforward. But then I want the management console VM. They require you create an account with their system. OK, I'm in. But their registration demands a EU VAT number even if you register as an individual. WTF?
I want that "how's my infrastructure doing today" dashboard from a "product". Just to run VMs ... pick Linux/KVM or FreeBSD/bhyve, Ansible, done. So let's try this XCP-ng thing.
