I've heard similar stories about drugs that are prescribed for Parkinsons, but more specifically, drugs that act to on the dopamine receptors, including one I take for depression, selegiline. While it's a possible side effect, these drugs don't turn you into another person. Just bad impulse cntl

My father died of Parkinson’s. His story was relatively mild, but I am in a FB support group for caregivers and have read some really heartbreaking stories of behavior change. And yet, these drugs can delay the worst symptoms and really help, sometimes. Patients & families need more education.
