It is endlessly appalling that there are multiple lawmakers on Capitol Hill who by default are automatically some of the most powerful people alive who have said some version of someone should just kill all the women and children in Gaza and be done with it, & they’ve faced no negative consequences
Still can't believe that one asshole wore an IDF uniform to Congress. Makes my blood boil
Most of them old white men?
And that those who said indiscriminately killing civilians is bad were attacked as antisemitic, as if the most semetic thing is to indiscriminately kill civilians.
How do you get media to “frenzy” on this? Reporters have piecemeal done excellent articles on these outrageously inhumane statements but there has been no groundswell of reporting that could break through to the broader public with urgency.
It has been incredibly disappointing to me there haven't been more consequences for this. Meanwhile GOP keeps passing resolutions like "Condemnation of Rashida Tlaib For Being More Than Mildly Annoyed."
Bill Barr is laughing
The DC subreddits are hard at work trying to identify random protesters who spray painted FREE GAZA to make sure they face consequences though
As a Ukrainian soldier, it's disturbing to hear leaders advocate for violence against civilians. Innocent lives should always be protected, and such statements undermine the principles we fight for.
Wait, what?
As Hamilton supposedly quipped, "your people, Sir, your people are a great beast." And in an increasing number of their representatives in Congress, it shows.
