nyc has crazy humidity, but i love the moment when the heat is broken by summer thunder, and all around you is slick and wet and new with the smell of grass and petrichor

Oh gosh much like London, NYC is pretty dense I'd imagine and all those skyscrapers reflecting the heat 😖

I’m in Chicago, have lived in Seattle, but the worst humidity I have ever experienced has been in Missouri. It’s God awful.

One thing that is weird about moving to the West Coast is that thunderstorms in the summer (which are rare) usually don't change the heat. Something about our lower humidity and how humidity reacts with thunderstorms. I sit here after a thunderstorm, why no smell of grass, why no break in heat?
