All patriarchies want to build and maintain the same hegemony. This goal bases their existence and informs core practices, regardless of how it is dressed up or camouflaged. It is a gestalt impressed on each new generation through irrational fears of divine retribution rather than understanding.

YES. Afuckinmen! *whistles & claps* With every word, your righteous wrath called out to the rage I carry too. I grew up in TN, a state that has seemed hellbent on wallowing in the dark ages most of my life, which is why I escaped to IL over a decade ago. I am still angry for everyone stuck there.
