The WNPRC breeds and uses nonhuman primates for research, as I’m sure you know. And marmosets, even if they’re not going to be killed, don’t belong in libraries. Me, I’d love to live in a library. But I’m not a marmoset.
yes i am aware, having worked there in the capacity as a librarian and lab tech. the marmosets do not live in the library, they live in a very specific and spacious enclosure with option to go into a back room.
