As the world adapts, to automation, to AI/ChatGPT, to whatever’s next, why do we ask all the risk, the displacement, the loss, to be labor’s burden? Automation can make our work easier, without harming our wallets, but there’s zero faith in mgmt/ownership to do so. *Everything* must serve profit.
As an employee of another fed agency w some of the same issues-it’s not just low staffing and not enough $ to get things done. It’s institutional knowledge that’s been lost. So many people have quit, and the mgmt level is more concerned w moving around/getting promoted, not leading.
