I remember the confused faces on my coworkers when i said i was going to go see Arietty when it came out. I was one of like three unattended adults in the theatre--the rest were under-10s mostly. Small-ass/-minded rural Pac NW town with no culture outside brewpubs.

Not the same thing but I watched Paddington when it came out and me and my friend were the only teens in there. It was all parents with kids. We had a blast and honestly when the third film comes out I'll watch it in the cinema
