One of his best friends is trans, there is a movie about it, Will & Harper.
I saw an interview a while ago about him and his best friend who is trans, he seems like a good egg trying to understand and listen, rather than other celebrities who prefer to stay ignorant.
I'm only unsurprised because there was some interview recently and he noted that a lot of the humor that he did in the 90s/00s he wouldnt do now And it wasn't like, someone had dug stuff up, cancel worthy. Just more, Oh Yeah That Humor Expired
