Except those jobs shouldn’t exist. I’m not saying the people whose jobs are impacted should learn to code. Pay them annuity that guarantees them a good standard of living. But someone doesn’t need to be doing those jobs in perpetuity, just because someone did that job in the past.

What's more likely: them getting paid their current salary or more doing what they do, or UBI? This is magical thinking. We've got a long ways to go until anything approaching UBI is a political possibility in this country and until that happens jobs like this should exist.
