I am on the last level of Tomb Raider 3 and I have decided this game is just not very fun. I eventually came around on 2, but 3 is just not what I was looking for from a 3D platformer.

Big agree! For me the games stopped being fun once gimmicky climbing actions (those damn swinging ropes!! the zoomed-in sniper shooting!) became REQUIRED actions to finish a level. the first one is still the best because it's simple, all atmosphere.
