The portion-size was nice, not too big, not too small. A very nice, rich taste, the fried onions gave it a nice little crisp. Also excellent: The Gyuza! They were fried and full of meat with a nice, spicy sauce. More expensive than other ramen-places, but very much worth it!
Friends told me about a place called Gyumon, only three minutes from my hotel in Ikebukuro. So of course I had to give it a go. I had the white wagyu-broth with Karaage and also went for some Gyoza. The broth was creamy and very tasty, the little bits of beef were a nice touch.
... I went again this year and I admit, I was an idiot. Ichiran's Ramen IS simply delicious. Broth, chashu and noodles have this amazing harmony. It's JUST the right level of hearty & spicy and yes - after all these years, Ichirans ramen is still amazing.
Incidentally, it's the same with Gamescom.
