I can’t remember the author at the moment, but she said she made the mistake of trying to listen to him read her short story while commuting on her bike and had to keep stopping because she was crying with joy. He’s a treasure

The American movie with Tom Hanks was called “A Man Called Otto”.

Made me think of a Steinbeck quote that I had to just sit and digest when I read it. I hate that worth and merit is too often tied to winning the birth lottery.

I love, love, love this book. Even though I adore Tom Hanks I won’t watch the movie as it could never come close to the joy of this book
