Whoever wins, it is reassuring, as someone who usually has an embarrassingly low grade opinion of the Median Voter, that so far every time JD Vance has had a moment (including convention) where I think “huh…seemed kinda normal. Maybe that’ll work a bit” his poll # ‘s have not improved or gone down

Republican consultants and lawyers helped keep Musk’s fingerprints off the transactions. He used a limited-liability company to send money to groups that are known for the section of Internal Revenue Service code they fall under: 501(c)(4). Sometimes called “social welfare organizations,” or “dark money” groups, they are exempt from disclosing donors and can raise unlimited amounts of money from people and companies. They are required to report grants they make, allowing The Wall Street Journal to track money through a series of such groups that people familiar with the matter said was Musk’s. When discussing Musk’s contributions to Citizens for Sanity, people involved in the transactions often communicated on the encrypted messaging app Signal, one of those people said.

His power and wealth have made him relatively impervious to criticism, and his bluntness has made him a hero to many on the right who oppose what they call political correctness. Several of his recent posts about the election have drawn criticism. Last week, he amplified the bogus right-wing claims that immigrants were eating pets in Springfield, Ohio. And after the music superstar Taylor Swift said last week that she would vote for Ms. Harris, signing her endorsement “Childless Cat Lady” in a reference to comments by Mr. Trump’s running mate, Mr. Musk appeared to offer jokingly to impregnate Ms. Swift, writing: “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”

Seriously, someone in media should reach out to OANN and Newsmax and Fox and ask if they aired any interview footage with a Springfield, OH resident claiming a dog was eaten. I don’t think Trump even saw that on TV, just like he hallucinated footage of people celebrating 9/11 in New Jersey
