Yeah... Worked a now defunct con once and we kept getting "There's something going on in the parking lot"...and it was basically a family dispute involving some locals unrelated to the con in any way and we're like "Look, that's a police matter. We can't stop people from chasing each other w/ cars"

Some people have an odd belief that con staff are somehow in charge of a venue's entire security situation including the grounds outside the building and...no. Not even hotel/venue security really has authority to get involved in some things.
