All good! I haven't been around or talking about myself for a long while, it's totally understandable. I'm in the lehigh valley now, so Philly's not too difficult a jump at all. As much as I miss LA, being confined to Santa Clarita in early COVID wasn't great either, so I'm still doing better here.
ugh, I can relate. It hurt immensely to move back to Jersey and then eastern PA after fighting so hard to stay in CA for this exact reason. I've gotten over that somewhat, but I'm also replacing it with a very similar sense of failure over leaving LA *specifically*, which, ha ha ha! ha ha. sigh.
Please, lord our God, all I want for TGS this year is the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters ported to Xbox. Game Pass as well, but I won't ask for that. Please grant me the serenity to play all six games back-to-back on my couch with achievements while streaming my playthroughs to my friends on discord.
I'd say this barely still doesn't apply to me (in the sense of being [x] miles away from where you grew up; my mother can't be counted in these data any longer, nor should she), but honestly, when you're anywhere on the I-78 corridor, even a hundred miles wouldn't make much of a difference.
