I think 9/11 indirectly brought us to 1/6. Our culture was upended on 9/11. Paranoia - War - Jingoism - Islamophobia - Hope crushed. Even 8 years of Obama made many *even more* racist. Trump blew in, torched our whole system and was cheered for it. Convinced violent people that everything sucks. 1/6
Agree. The ripple effects of 9/11 are still going and growing.
