It's always a good day when there is a new @josheyler.bsky.social podcast episode to listen to!
This hits home for me. When faculty in my context push for stricter policies to address issues of "engagement," "classroom management," and "professionalism," it usually stems from a belief about what learning is "supposed" to look like. And it usually excludes many Neurodivergent & ESL students.
We sure do @polarisdotca.bsky.social! I'm glad you enjoyed the episode!
That's so kind of you to share ❤️ Thanks for listening, H!
@liznorell.bsky.social I was actually invited back to that university last year to give a PD workshop, and it felt like such a victory to be on the campus, in a room that I felt I belonged in. Full circle moment!
I'm so very glad you enjoyed the episode @liznorell.bsky.social! I'm looking forward to chatting with you soon :)
After years of masking in neurotypical learning environments, I choose to centre vulnerability in my workshops. But this might be the most vulnerable I've been ❤️ Thanks for your safety and generosity, @bonni208.bsky.socialteachinginhighered.com/podcast/fost...
Will Hennessy shares about fostering neurodivergent learners’ growth on episode 499 of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast
