We played the OG on the SNES. We followed it up with FFIV which was the Pixel Remaster... so maybe I'll give the FFVI Pixel Remaster a try. I REALLY enjoyed the ... what do I call this? ... "remastered" audio tracks. Would love to hear how they did with FFVI.

Oh, that's even more awesome! For all it's issues with the translation, the OG SNES version is still quite special (and has the uncensored intro for Celes, which is nice). I listened to some of the remastered tracks and they were pretty nice, but some of the originals are def better.
