I have never had a "normal" relationship with the internet and as time goes on I'm more and more grateful for that.
I think that because I’m old enough to remember a time before widespread adoption of the Internet, it gives me such a great perspective on things because I’m aware of how different reality is from the internet.
My relationship never really recovered from being kicked off of Netscape while trying to do a project for school. Dad's friend called and somehow got through. Took a whole 30min or so to load what I needed again. Ah, memories.
The world was better when everyone was a little mlre scared of the internet honestly. I cannot fathom how putting your whole life, name and facr out there became normal.
hello i really like your videos and appreciate what you do :))
Agree++, was one of those always online kids in the early to late 00s and damn did you see some stuff online then. The plus side I got into making sites as a kid which eventually became the career I kinda hate… wait that’s not a huge plus! (More serious, did get me into programming which I do love)
Fair enough, it's messy.
Are you Lain Iwakura perchance?
Shawn Wasabi has a song where the hook is "Talking to strangers online was the best decision I ever made. Reality is lemons and the Internet's my lemonade"
From times of BBS i have been super attracted to digital nets.
There are no “normal” relationship with the internet though
