Wait what I need to see this
Right ā it might not be earth-shattering, and it involves politics and compromise (āitās cosmology this year because quantum won the year beforeā or something), but Iāve not questioned whether the work represents a legitimate contribution to the science. Thatās the damning part for me.
Most of the time, my gripes about the prizes are about the people who are overlooked and donāt get the credit for the discoveries. But in this case, the actual work itself lacks relevance. Itās got āKissinger winning the Peace Prizeā sketchiness to it.

This led to us receiving fan mail via the radio station, which was really cool, until at least of the writers started dropping racial slurs and expressing his hatred of other races. (The letter writer had no idea that I was Black, presumably.)
Context: in the early 00s, a friend and I did a metal show on Saturday nights at the college station. We would regularly get requests from inmates at the county jail, via collect call requests (e.g., āYou have a collect call from ā Slayer, āSeasons in the Abyssāā) and weād fulfill them.

Right! And I love music that tries all kinds of things, sonically bouncing off the walls, but still is, at its heart, pop.
