Thoughtful and honest essay. There's a version of AI optimism that argues "we can keep the curriculum unchanged if we just find clever ways to integrate AI in courses,"—and I'm really unpersuaded by it. If this technology makes a difference, there are going to be courses that no longer make sense. +

The course here (which seems to try to separate academic-writing-as-such from the reasoning in specific disciplines) prob makes less sense in a world where students can say "get me rewrite." They will still need help; but the help they need now is mostly fused with disciplinary questions.
