10896. #LonesomeDove "Part 1" - Well damn, this is quite the cast, & the version on the Shout Factory's YouTube page looks fantastic. This thing really takes its time, doesn't it? This doesn't feel like something that would've aired on network TV in 1989 at all, let alone 1/2

CBS. Yes, it's a Western but it's got a bleak nihilism to it that doesn't scream "watch this after Major Dad." In other words, this really caught me off guard, I suspect the viewing public too, and just like them, it's all positive... ends kinda silly though. (A-) 2/2
