The convent guest house I am staying in has the hand of an actual saint in the chapel, pieces of the True Cross *and* free WiFi
Seems not only does my guest house tomorrow have a relic hand of a saint, it's actually part of a convent. I have a slight phobia about nuns.
I am always very wary of “the young, they are ignorant” narratives but dude here is claiming a book that we studied at GCSE (Jane Eyre) needs a master’s degree to be understood.
My hostelry this weekend has its own "reliquary preserved hand of a saint". That's better than free WiFi! www.atlasobscura.com/places/reliq...
Off to stay at the oldest surviving catholic convent in the British Isles (1686). If it's not haunted, I'll be very disappointed.
Payday pocket money all spent. This month's theme was Jack Vance. Picked up all the Demon Prince books in physical and the Gaean Reach RPG books from Pelgrane Press.
Tonight is Six Seasons in Sartor night. Golden gaming. I'm having a schooling in GM craft *and* the other players are amazing *and* it's one of the best campaigns I've encountered in four decades of playing.
At the start of each month I buy and read one history book. The only rule is it has to be a subject I know nada about (a lot of choice)
