So Great Western Railway announces platform 3 for the 0822 from PAD to OXF, we get through the gates and THEN they cancel the train, 3 minutes after announcing the departure platform. Now on 0830 and have to change at RDG. Will be late for my meeting. Pretty useless really.
So to educate vegetarians who in some parts of the world when they say they're vegetarians get served chicken and then when repeating that they're vegetarian get told "It's not meat, it's only chicken." #ChickenIsntMeat 😁
And there's even the option of scrambling eggs into your bhajja begun bhorta, a bit like Iranian mirza ghasemi. So it's all much more sophisticated than simple "Eggplant Curry". Hmm, maybe I should call any American dish with, say, beef as the main ingredient "Beef food"?
Also, if Bengali this is bhajja begun bhorta where the onions are fried & the mashed aubergine is refried versus kacha begun bhorta where the onions are raw and the mashed aubergine isn't refried. I love both. So even begun bhorta isn't just begun bhorta!
Jeez! Baingan bharta (or begun bhorta if Bengali) is NOT just generic "Eggplant Curry"!!!🤦 We make other things with aubergines as well...begun bhaji, bhaja begun, bagara/Hyderabadi begun, khatta begun... www.foodandwine.com/baingan-bhar...
Mash grilled eggplant, Kashmiri chile powder, onion, ginger, and garlic together to make baingan bharta, a North Indian side dish.

Er, why would anyone have microwave rice WITH 'chicken biriyani'? (Noting that 'chicken biriyani' is NOT biriyani and is an abomination!)
