Of course, it's been two decades since it was published, so my recollection is incredibly vague but I know I enjoyed the book.

Kurt Busiek had a book called Power Company for DC which I miss. It was a very modern book (i.e. it had a cast which would make terrible people angry) but Busiek always refused the edginess which were (and are) too common in cape books in this century.
