Waiting for people to stop fact-checking fascist smears against immigrants and instead say “these are fascist smears”. A girl can dream.

I've been horrified to see so many people I know on FB share joke versions of the smear, not getting that they're still perpetuating a dangerous racist smear (or that the right often weaponizes humor).

A part of it, I think, is their willingness & uncanny ability to absorb labels like fascist as a badge of honor. There is no shame associated.
