Maybe it's a badly written article, or maybe I'm just stupid, but isn't HIV a retrovirus, and HIV only has RNA (no DNA)? I mean, there's a proscription that takes place to insert a modified DNA into the CD4 cells, but isn't that a short-lived process and hard / impossible to target with this method?
