This is why disc drives will never come as standard anymore for Sony or Xbox. Why increase the cost unnecessarily for the vast majority of players that just buy digital? It’s dinosaurs like me that have to buy the add on if we want it! 🦖

I knew the Xbox % would be high(est), not sure I would have guessed as high as 91% though! Imagine Series S will impact this figure a lot but definitely leads me to believe whatever the next Xbox is won't have a disc drive at all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if whatever Sony does next didn’t even have the option to be fair. Gives them total control over their market which in this era they will want. Last few years I’ve found myself reverting back to older gen’s as the current one (exc. Switch) has lost so much appeal 😅

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there. I’m a fellow dinosaur and will use physical media as long as it’s available.
