The amount of cringe I have when I go back and look at my social media posts when I was younger and lonelier is tough.

Yes it’s freehand.

A fairly 'simple' weapon swap on a metal miniature... the mini on the right is the unmodified version. However, the weapons were cast as parts of the donor minis forearms. Looks okay on the table top though.

Always hard to choose one thing. So here’s a variety.

I also don’t dry brush the skaven, but stipple instead. Here’s an example of the yellow getting base coated on.

Thanks! The recipe I use for my Skaven is fairly similar to the recipe I use on my Saurus, which is featured in this painting guide; For the Skaven I prime a dark color so I base with thinned cotes of Vallejo Bronze Brown instead of doing the contrast method. This does take a while.

I did not. The other two have one of each weapon instead of magnets, but I don’t really like the look of the shock gauntlets so I didn’t bother for this guy. Plus I don’t really play, so rule of cool is more of a thing for me.

Loss of the cool dreads for Blood Angels was another big sad in this Blood Angel wave. Real shame when your faction gets something new but it isn’t exciting at all.
