“The school didn’t call an ambulance.” Some sentences enter the mind and will never leave. I read that in an article today and it will be with me for the rest of my days.
The icing on the cake is the school suspended Nex for 2 weeks for getting their head slammed repeatedly on the bathroom floor. The assaulters were not punished.
Do not underestimate the way educational institutions currently view students as the enemy.
Just now hearing about this. All I can say is the fact that this kind of thing can happen to a transgender/non-binary child at school is horrifying. How more people are not in an outrage over this, I will never understand. School is supposed to be a safe place for ALL kids.
It’s absolutely heartbreaking.
It is so unbelievable. It simply represents the inhumane view the school had of this human being who, somehow, the school felt, represented a danger to them when the real danger lie in their broken fucking hearts.
The school wanted them to die. The school is complicit.
Seconded. Hit me hard, that sentence.
Who is gonna be charged over this ...? 🤔 ⚖️
That sits alongside "In the interests of the public, the police have released their bodycam footage but muted the pleas of the children."
All the powers that be there in Oklahoma identify with the killers, want them to go free, and want more murders like this one.
