it's hella true! whenever i go on that rollercoaster, one o my art friends pointed out it's because you just learned something new and your brain's struggling to process things so it makes things ugly before you get better

i feel like i have the same thing happen with cooking. like. i learn to cook a new thing, i do an okay job, i make it a few times and there's this weird quality dropoff... then i give it a rest for a while... and then the next time i make it it comes out DIVINE art... is fried rice (nods wisely)
