5. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PS3) When @tallulahlucy.bsky.social and I were long-distance, she bought this for me during one of my visits. She loved it and wanted me to try it. The music, the visuals, the scope of the game, how you can get lost in the world for hours on end. It's perfection.
4. GTA: Vice City (PS2) I had a really hard time choosing between GTA III - it was amazing - or Vice City, which vastly improved on the original. I settled on Vice City since it influenced a LOT of my musical tastes. Twisted Sister, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Outfield, ELO, and so many more!
3. Doom (1993) This is the ONLY game that I own on every single platform that I have. Why? Because sometimes I just wanna boot it up and play through a few levels wherever I am/whatever I'm doing. First played it on a Windows games demo disc in 1995 and was instantly hooked.
Thanks! :D Funnily enough, I still haven't played RE2R because I'm worried it won't live up to the hype and be a disservice to the original ๐ (silly, I know). If you ever can, play through the original. It's pretty clunky now but a real treat. The PC version is on GOG www.gog.com/en/game/resi...

2. SimTower: The Vertical Empire (PC) As a kid, I saw this at a grocery store that my parents would shop at. Asked if I could get it for Christmas. It's a comfort game for me; building the tower to the 30th floor can be satisfying and chill. Wished I still had this in the box. :(
What are you using to map this out?
1. Resident Evil 2 (PS1) Used my pocket money to buy this before I even had a PS1 (thanks to a PC Format demo disc and a PC that could barely run it). I loved that the story covered the origins of the virus and gave some depth to each of the characters.
SimTower is sooo good. It's crazy that almost nothing has ever come close to it.
Such a fantastic cover! Best of all the Sim titles from that time. Love that game so much.
Awesome list, but SimTower is the real star! ๐คฉ
