My Netflix/streaming viewership model is that when something new and interesting comes out I'll add it to my long list of Things to Watch. Then sometime in the next six months or so, I'll watch several episodes when there's a slow moment in my life. And I don't even have kids.

As a parent, I do this same thing except "the next 6 months or so" is more like "the next 2 years or never or so". Seriously, the convenience of streaming is not being tied to a scheduled airtime, but apparently the first 48 hours upon launch are all that counts so why even bother?
