I had a cat Max (he allowed me to look after him) - every spring, the birds would nest in the hedge around our garden. Every spring, I’d be rescuing 3 or 4 fledglings- crafty Max’d wait until I was upstairs, go out, kill a couple & bring them in, leave them on the kitchen floor. Upset kids & me.
