All I have to say about The Marvels (which I'm not writing on & am relieved not to have to see) is that the poster makes it look like Samuel L. Jackson is Brie Larson's tiny lower body?

"Relieved not to have to see" is how I feel about Kelly Reichardt movies (as you know from Slate Movie Club)! I'm as fatigued about Marvel as you are, but to my surprise, I liked this one. And I'm beginning to think these posters are just pictures they randomly threw on the floor, then photographed.

I really liked it. I find the antipathy toward it quite mystifying! (And I actually think it’s pretty light on the amount of lore you need.)
Oddly enough I just saw it and liked it well enough! But kinda hard to know how it would even land if you haven't been seeing the relevant TV series.
