I only touched a bit of HP near the end of my data center days. I think ~G5-G7 era... It was fine I guess Didn't really ever touch Dell

I went with Dell because it was the trendy thing in my friend group and at the time Dell made it real easy to order on their internet store. I might have even ordered (a poweredge) via my school's enterprise storefront for a discount, bc lolz. my newer boxes are both HPE (EC200a,DL380G9)
